Obituary:

The many friends of Mr and Mrs Dennis, of the “Oaks,” will regret to hear of the death of their youngest child which occurred at her parents’ residence on the 1st inst. Although the little one had been ailing for some time, the sorrowing mother will sorely miss her cherished youngest born and the family their gentle little idol. [Lilydale Express 04-08-1899 pg2]

JOHNSON – On the 26th June, at Woori Yallock, Elsie Lillian, the dearly beloved eldest daughter of Annie and the late Henry Johnson, aged 10 years and 6 months. A patient little sufferer gone to rest. [The Argus 29-06-1904]

Annie Elizabeth Speers

Biography:

Annie Elizabeth Speers was the daughter of John and Mary Allsop, early Lilydale Pioneers. She married Arthur James Speers, a retired storekeeper at Woori Yallock who died in 1941. [The Argus 16-09-1941 pg4]

Obituary:

Annie Elizabeth Speers – Wandin Yallock lost another of its oldest residents with the death of Mrs Anne Elizabeth Speers at her daughter’s residence in Kew on August 20th. Deceased was the daughter of the late John and Mary Allsop, early pioneers of the Yarra Valley. Three daughters, Lucy (Mrs Read, East Ringwood) Olive (Mrs Copley, Kew) and Stella (Mrs McDonald, Woori Yallock) are left to mourn her passing. [Lilydale Express 28-08-1959 pg9]
